Kit Carson County road districts are not voting districts

Kit Carson County runs road work out of three maintenance sites, one for each of three Road and Bridge districts. The catch worth knowing: those three road districts are not drawn along the same lines as the county’s voting districts. On a rural place, the road out front can matter as much as the house itself, so that distinction is worth getting right.
That mismatch trips people up. You might cast your ballot in one district and have your road graded by a crew from another. So when you have a question about grading, washboard, a culvert, or simply who to call, the voting district you know from election season is the wrong starting point.
