Larimer road closure lists do not cover every road

A Porch Note from Colorado Porch — plain-English local details for all 64 Colorado counties.

Larimer County’s road closures and delays page is genuinely useful, but it is not a map of every delay in the county. What it tracks is road and maintenance resurfacing projects in unincorporated Larimer County that are underway or planned soon. Work on state highways and city streets falls outside it, and even the projects it does list can shift with weather or materials.

So a clean-looking county page can still miss the closure that actually changes your morning. A CDOT project on a state highway, a Fort Collins street torn up for utilities, a Loveland work zone, none of those show up here, even though any of them could stall a canyon drive, a school run, a contractor delivery, or a rural property showing.

The fix is to match the road owner to the trip. Larimer County covers county-maintained roads; CDOT or COtrip covers state highways; the city or town covers municipal streets. Knowing which one runs the pavement under your route tells you which page to trust before you rely on it.
