Mesa County renewal kiosks can print tabs on site

Sometimes you just need the tabs in your hand today, not in the mail next week. A Colorado MVExpress kiosk handles exactly that. It is a self-service machine for vehicle registration renewal: scan the barcode on your renewal postcard or type in the license plate number, and it prints the receipt, the registration, and the tabs right there before you walk away.

The kiosk only works when it can match an eligible record, and it cannot accept paper proof of insurance or emissions. Those updates have to reach the statewide vehicle registration system before the machine can see them.

For a routine renewal with insurance and emissions already recorded, the kiosk can replace a counter visit. It does not resolve a title problem, insurance mismatch, address change, or an ineligible plate type.
